On one of America’s most tragic days, 9/11, the passengers of flight United 93 took a stand by overtaking terrorists from Al Qaeda that hijacked their plane with the plan of crashing into a strategic site. Although all of the passengers lost their lives in taking this stand, it resulted in many lives being saved and preserving important property. The 40 United showed how average citizens could use courage to overcome terrorism. Today, their sacrifice is remembered with a memorial, a movie, books, and tougher airline security in hopes of preventing a similar event in the future.
